Import Step 3: Copy or Import Data

When Your Template is Ready, you may now import into mLIMS.  Go to System Settings - Import Animals and Cages. Have you double-checked your template?

Hint: If you have several thousand animals to import, consider doing the import in smaller groups, starting with the oldest animal and working your way up. This will help in error checking!

Method 1: Copy/Paste

Copy all headers and data from your template, and paste into the import box.  Select ONE COLUMN for gene and genotype format, and submit.

Method 2: Import from Text File

To import your data as a text file, save your data sheet as a text file.

Select Load Data From a Text File, Browse for the File, and select your gene and genotype format.  submit to the next step.
